American Reclaimed Antique Longleaf Heart Pine flooring carries a rich, unbroken piece of American history. After standing strong in native forests for over 300 to 500 years, these majestic trees were harvested during the 19th century to build the industrial backbone of the nation—factories, textile mills, shops, barns, and heritage homes.
Now, more than 150 years later, this seasoned old-growth wood has been carefully salvaged, preserved, and custom-milled right here in our mill. Hard as nails and rich with natural character, it is ready to bring timeless warmth and durability into your home for generations to come.
Both our Reclaimed White Oak and Heart Pine are milled like the old days when classic industrial mills, including historic cotton mills established in 1866, were first constructed. Back then, forest giants—trees that were already 400 to over 500 years old—were harvested and turned into timber fortresses to power American industry.
Having outlived that era in history, these ancient woods have been reclaimed and are custom-milled direct to you using authentic circle-saw techniques just as they were milled in the past. Hard as nails, uniquely textured, and exceptionally durable, both species are ready to withstand many more generations of life in a new home.

Allow 10 to 14 days for the wood to acclimate to your job-site climate prior to installation. We strongly recommend using a wood moisture meter to verify that the planks and subfloor have reached equilibrium.
Installation Options: Suitable for Nail Down, Staple Down, Screw & Plug, or Direct Glue Down application methods. Concrete & Subfloor Specs: Approved for installation over concrete slabs (using high-grade moisture barriers and elastomeric adhesives) as well as wood subfloors. Job-Site Trimming: Planks are precision-milled on sides but require job-site end-trimming by your installer (not end-matched). Waste Factor: Please allow for a 10% to 15% waste factor when calculating total square footage to account for job-site cuts and fitting.
Circle Saw Face: Utilizes our custom circular saw milling to add full, bold saw marks across the plank for a deeply rustic, authentic appearance.
50/50 Hit & Miss (Skip Saw): We precision-set our saw to remove roughly 50% of the saw marks. This leaves a balanced mix of textured skip saw and smooth wood—delivering a softer, handcrafted look that used to require hours of hand sanding, now done for you at the mill.
Clean Smooth Face: Milled completely smooth without surface saw marks, allowing the natural grain, rich character, and tight growth ring patterns of the wood to fully shine through.
The real reclaimed long leaf heart pine wood for flooring has been fastened in place in the textile mill since 1866 over 150 years having air dried and seasoned to a stable condition.
When the building has been deconstructed the posts, beams, joists, purl-ins, and rafters usually maintain their straightness. If we do get a twisted timber we can cut it straight and square. Because the wood is seasoned, 99% of the re-swan pieces stay straight.
